Founded in 1998, the entity incorporated under the legal name «Club de Inversión Deusto» and operating for commercial and institutional purposes as «Deusto Investment Club», is a strictly academic, educational, and non-profit student association, duly entered in the Register of Associations of the Basque Government. The organisation is officially domiciled at Calle Hermanos Aguirre 2, 48014, Villa de Bilbao, Vizcaya, Spain.

Whilst the Club operates under the tutelage of Deusto Business School and Fineco Kutxabank Banca Privada SV, and is exclusively comprised of and managed by university students, it is explicitly stated that this organisation does not hold the legal status of an Investment Services Firm (ESI) or a Collective Investment Institution (IIC). Furthermore, it is not registered with the official registries of the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), the Bank of Spain, or any other national or international financial supervisory authority
